Reinstall Product 5.
Desinstalei todo o MapSouce e comecei do 4.01 novamente.

Sorry to send you on the goose chase…that version didn’t have the repair. I should have thought of that possibility.
Are you by chance running Windows Vista? Did you update the MapSource operating software to 6.14.1? If you have Vista but have older MapSource (whatever was on that disk to start with) you can get that registry error and updating that will fix it (the update adds support for Windows Vista).
You know, I would actually update to 6.13.7 personally. It supports Vista. BUT it does not have a problem drawing spot soundings in BlueChart like 6.14.1 does. You can get it here:
http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/msource/
If you’d rather update to 6.14.1 go ahead. I think and hope within a month or six weeks we’ll have a newer MapSource version beyond it that will then deal with the dang spot soundings. Note the spot soundings do FINE in the unit; it’s just the PC display.
If that isn’t it, uninstall it like before.
After that do that and then this and you should be ready to rock and roll again:
5. Select the Start key to the run option. In the run window type in regedit then press OK. In the registry editor, you need to be very careful and please follow these steps precisely. Pay attention to the left hand window pane. This is the one that we will be working in. Be sure that you only have 5 folders in view. If you have many more then 5 please locate the folder that has a - sign next to it. Click it to make it a + sign and this should leave you with 5 folders.
a. Select the (+) next to the folder stating HKEY_CURRENT_USER
b. In this view select the (+) next to SOFTWARE, when you click on this it will open your registry further.
c. In the SOFTWARE view you will see a series of folders, one will be GARMIN. Highlight the word GARMIN and press the delete key. It will ask for confirmation of deletion. Make sure that the word GARMIN is the only key highlighted. Press on the (-) signs to contract the expansion.
d. Select the (+) next to the folder stating HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
e. In this view select the (+) next to SOFTWARE, when you click on this it will open your registry further.
f. In the SOFTWARE view you will see a series of folders, one will be GARMIN. Highlight the word GARMIN and press the delete key. It will ask for confirmation of deletion. Make sure that the word GARMIN is the only key highlighted. Press on the (-) signs to contract the expansion.
6. Shut down your system as normal and then let the system set for about 30 seconds and then start up your computer.
7. Reinstall the software. It will display the destination folder, if the setting is anything other than c:\garmin, click on the browse option and type it in. You will get a message "This folder does not exist" but the option to create it will follow. Select OK.
8. Reboot after finishing your installation allowing the software to rest in the destination folder.
9. After you reinstall, I recommend that you upgrade your operating software to the latest version of the MapSource operating system.
Thank you again for your interest in Garmin GPS.
